"Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise."
Luke 3:11
On Saturdays, from 11:30am to 1pm, the St. Clare Mission serves food to the vulnerable population of Peabody. We provide brown-bag lunches in conjunction with efforts of Haven from Hunger and other Peabody churches, to ensure that at least one meal each day is available for anyone regardless of resources. (Here is a calendar of free meals in Peabody.)
In addition to food, our Saturday lunchtime program offers a safe place for homeless and other vulnerable people to find shelter and companionship for a little while.
Various organizations and individuals partner with St. Clare Mission in providing these Saturday meals. We welcome any person or group that would like to help.
Partners may volunteer as often as they like. An organization typically brings 25 to 50 healthy sandwiches with a drink, a soft fruit, a small bag of chips, and perhaps a soft cookie. (Contact us for details or with questions.) We encourage partners to spend time with the people they are serving.
Partners receive public recognition for their charitable deeds on our website and promotional materials.
If you are interested in a partnership or have any questions, please call
